Being a hunter is not just a seasonal activity—it’s a lifestyle that extends throughout the year. Visiting a city like Paris offers a unique opportunity to explore places that resonate with our passion for hunting and the outdoors. Having recently returned from a trip there, I’d like to share some spots I found particularly interesting for hunters.

1) Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature

This museum combines art and taxidermy, beautifully displayed in a historic townhouse. You’ll find paintings by Jean-Baptiste Oudry and other renowned artists. While the museum is relatively small, it offers an enriching experience and takes about 45 minutes to explore.

Address: 62 Rue des Archives, 75003 Paris, France

2) Passion Campagne au Petit Matelot

This is the oldest hunting shop in Paris. From traditional attire to modern hunting jackets, this store offers a wide range of gear for hunters. With over 30 brands and various styles, it’s a must-visit destination in the 16th arrondissement for anyone passionate about hunting.

Address: 27 Avenue de la Grande Armée, 75116 Paris

3) Harry’s Bar

One of my favorite spots in Paris, Harry’s Bar is the perfect place to unwind after a day of hunting (or exploring). This classic New York-style piano bar, near the stunning Place Vendôme, serves excellent Old Fashioned cocktails in a cozy ambiance.

Address: 5 Rue Daunou, 75002 Paris

4) Restaurant La Régalade

For a hunter, this restaurant is a gem. Chef Bruno Doucet, a hunter himself, has authored several books on game cooking. La Régalade also offers “Les Cocottes de la Régalade,” allowing you to enjoy gourmet meals at home.

Address: 106 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris

5) Armurerie Paris ALEX

Established in 1968, this armory specializes in antique firearms. Whether you’re looking to purchase or repair a rifle, this place exudes authenticity. They also offer accessories and art pieces that make for unique souvenirs.

Address: 63 Boulevard de Courcelles, 75008 Paris

A City Steeped in Hunting History

Paris isn’t just one of the world’s most beautiful cities—it also has a deep connection to hunting. Surrounded by renowned forests like the Forêt Domaniale de Notre-Dame, the city’s history with hunting runs deep. Fun fact: hunting was permitted within Paris until September 24, 1978! Magic.

Enjoy your trip to Paris, and happy hunting—both in the wild and through the city’s unique cultural treasures!
